The DP Pediatrics Doctors

About me and the way I choose to practice Child Care.

Dr. Pratibha Deshmukh, M.D., F.A.A.P.

Pratibha Deshmukh is the founder of DP Pediatrics and has been in private practice since 1988. She received her medical degree from B.J. Medical College in India in 1972. She completed her pediatric residency and fellowship training from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She was board certified by American Board of Pediatrics in 1983.

“I love and enjoy Pediatric practice. Watching kids grow, working with the families and learning more about life and medicine is rewarding.  When young parents who were our patients bring their children back to our practice, it is a wonderful feeling of trust.”

She is a fellow of American Academy of Pediatrics and is also a preceptor for pediatric residents from St. Joseph’s Children Hospital. Dr. Deshmukh is the former chairperson of the department of Pediatrics at St Joseph’s Wayne Hospital. She is particularly interested in ambulatory pediatrics and child psychiatry.

Her personal interests are yoga, meditation, and social work.

Dr. Krishna Pandey, M.D., M.R.C.P., F.A.A.P.

Krishna Pandey joined DP Pediatrics in 1997 after completing his Pediatric residency, with the distinction of chief resident, from St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital.  He received his medical education from Jawaharlal Institute of Medical Education and Research in India.  Subsequently, he received pediatric training in England and was conferred the MRCP (Member of Royal College of Physicians) degree prior to starting his training in the United States. He was board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in 1997.

“In my thirty years of being a pediatrician, the most rewarding thing for me has been seeing my patients grow up into healthy and happy individuals. The trusting relationship that I have built with their families has always been an inspiration for me.”

He is a fellow of American Academy of Pediatrics and is also a preceptor for medical students and pediatric residents from Rutgers Medical School and St Joseph’s Children’s Hospital.

His hobbies include music and reading.

Dr. Apexa N. Shukla, M.D.

“I make it a priority to establish an open, cooperative relationship with our patients. The goal is to partner with you to achieve optimum health for your child…”

Dr. Shukla also serves as school physician for the Paterson School district.

She is interested in community service and teaching character building to young children.

Dr. Neha Pandey, M.D.

“What I love about being a pediatrician is the many roles that I get to play every day: a healer for when a patient is sick, a teacher to help guide my patient and their family on living a healthy life, and a friend for my patients to turn to when they need advice. My patients keep me on my toes and feeling as young at heart as they are!”

She is interested in sketching and painting. Her other hobbies include travel,  music, and reading.
